those three words are said too much and not enough...

I wish you could be happy in everything that she is.
She IS beautiful.  I can also assume she is happy.
But you?  You are not happy.
And that is so tragic.
You are so broken,
And I will always love you..
But I wish you could see the beauty that has crossed your life.
The potential for love is absolutely stunning,
Yet you don't entirely see it for all it is.
And that's a problem.
She will never be the first girl you fell in love with.
And despite the fact you talk down open her,
We all know she set the standard high for what you deserve.
What you need, really.
Never forget that, okay?
I still care about you a lot.
But it's all been taken out of my control..
As if it was ever even IN my control.
Just please love her for what she is worth,
And I know, I don't know her as well as I'd maybe like to,
But I know she is good for you.
That's all I can tell you.
She is precious.
And what you have with her is precious.
And I'm done trying to see the flaws and pick them apart.
I embrace the beauty from now on.
A positive outlook is so much less painful.
You, of all people, should know that.
Positive doesn't mean not acknowledging all the problems, though.
I would never ask you to do that.
But I do ask that you fill your heart with the love you deserve and can get.
