I'm not quite positive what this one's gonna be about just yet.. So here's a mix of everything.
I've decided to do a Fashion Icon for every blog I post.
I chose Natalie Portman for today.. For one, I love her styles. She's got so many different looks, and looks amazing in everything. It's not letting me post pictures, but here's one of the pictures that stood out to me: http://venus.provocateuse.com/images/photos/natalie_portman_01.jpg
So let's see what I did today..
some photography,
some drawing,
some shopping,
some music..
And that's about it...
Here's some pictures:

I also got some inspiration to draw a dress that sort of incorporated all of the fall themed pictures up there:
The darkerish green at the bottom is part of the back of the dress, and along with what I havent finished drawing, there are multi-brown colored bead strands coming off the part of the dress where it splits to taper off and towards the back. (And sorry for being a horrible artist!!)
So what do you think about that? Of course it wouldn't be something you'd see a girl wearing to prom.. but it seems reasonable for the runway right?
Well other then that, I've been working on a new story idea. I'm not even sure what's going to happen, but suggestions are definetely useful.
As of now, the name of the book is "Sleep Dancers"
I traced the swirl designs on my notebook cover. I wasn't exactly procrastinating, just sort of putting off doing the homework inside the notebook. I wasn't really in the mood. I never was. Really, all I ever wanted to do was escape in the world of words. Books were my escape. Soon enough, I was daydreaming again.
This particular time, I was on a rocking boat in the middle of an ocean. Thunder boomed and it was pouring rain. There was only one other man on the boat. I didn't know who he was, but I trusted him. We ran frantically around trying to tie down loose crates. Then he yelled for me to take cover under deck. I followed his orders and soon he joined me.
"So where did you come from?" he had a warm English accent.
"What do you mean?" I inquired.
"You appeared on my ship!" he explained looking confused."Did you hide out before we set sail?"
"No, you must be confused. I'm dreaming right now. You're a figment of my imagination.. See I could change the way you look and how you talk and what you're wearing if I wanted."
I don't know why I was explaining all of this to him.. He would of already knew if I wanted him to.. and I guess my mind didn't want him to understand. Maybe it would make the dream more real.
"What on earth are you talking about little girl? You just appeared on my ship. I only have about two more days of sailing 'till I hit the tip of India. I've been alone on this ship for three and a half weeks before you came. Maybe I'm the one who's dreaming here.."
"Haha I think you're just confused. Wait.. why am I even talking to you? I could be doing something fun right now!"
Concerned, he said "My, you must be drunk. Why don't you lay down until you sober up, dear?"
Of course he thought I was drunk. I was rambling like a drunk.."Oh no no no, I'm not drunk. I can assure you I've never touched any type of alchohol. I just like to dream. Well, this is actually a special type of dream. It's called 'lucid' dreaming. Right now, I could be eating icecream or.. sky diving. I don't know why I'm wasting time here.. I'm not having much fun in this cramped, dark space."
"Well I sitll think you should lie down.. You aren't making sense."
And with that I tried escaping to a different world. After a few years of practice I could do it within a few seconds.. but this time I felt constrained. I couldn't leave. This was weird. Panic set in.
"What's going on? Who are you?"
(to be continued)
